Fire Bird

In the late 50's and early 1960's the Teisco brand became the household name for weird and wonderful Japanese import guitars. Most of them have been fairly well documented at theTeisco Twangers Paradise website, and many of you have owned one of the other in your teenage years, but this one - the 1968 Fire Bird - is a rare bird indeed.

The last one we saw sold for over $2,000 on ebay in 2011. It may be that none ever made it out of Japan, but we are not sure. Regardless, we like it and we want one, so let's fire up the Eastwood Custom Shop and make our own Fire Birds! Semi-hollowbody design with crazy-cool f-holes and 5-ply binding, vintage style tremolo with roller bridge, bolt-on 24 3/4" scale Maple neck, dual EW P90 Pickups, 3-way switch with master Volume and Tone controls.
